The Maximum Temperature of a Planetary Body object represents the highest surface temperature present on the object's Temperature map.

While the user can change the Maximum Temperature in the properties panel, it is continually recalculated as time passes in the simulation.

Property Details[edit | edit source]

Location[edit | edit source]

The Maximum Temperature property of an object can be found near the top of the Surface tab.

Units[edit | edit source]

Maximum Temperature can be viewed using the following units:

  • Kelvin (K) is the SI base unit for temperature
  • Degrees Fahrenheit (°F)
  • Degrees Celsius (°C)

Conversions between these three units are as follows:

°C = K - 273

°F = (9/5)°C + 32
