Freezing Point

The Freezing Point (also known as the melting point) of an object represents the temperature at which water (or CO2) will change from the solid to liquid state. Above this temperature, the material will exist as a liquid or gas, and below this temperature, it will exist as a solid. The material represented by this Freezing Point is determined by the Show Water or CO2 tab.

This property is read-only and is automatically calculated by Universe Sandbox based on the Surface Pressure of the object.

Location[edit | edit source]

The Freezing Point property is located in the Water/CO2 section of the Surface tab of the object's properties panel.

Units[edit | edit source]

Freezing Point can be viewed using the following units:

  • Kelvin (K) is the SI base unit for temperature
  • Degrees Fahrenheit (°F)
  • Degrees Celsius (°C)

Conversions between these three units are as follows:

°C = K - 273

°F = (9/5)°C + 32
