An object with an Orbital Parent will have an orbit or trajectory indicating its path through 3D space based on its Orbital Elements. This orbit can be displayed on-screen. The orbit or trajectory may change with time as other objects affect the object's motion via gravity, or as the user changes the object's position, velocity, and orbital elements.

Show Orbits[edit | edit source]
To toggle the displayed orbits on and off, the user use the O hotkey, the Orbits toggle in the View menu in the bottom bar, or the Orbits toggle in the full View Settings Menu. If displayed orbits are turned on for the simulation, the orbit for an individual object can be toggled on or off using the Show Orbit property in the Actions tab of the object's properties panel.
