The [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Density Density] of an object is its mass per unit volume. All objects in Universe Sandbox are assumed to have uniform density. ==Property Details== ===Location=== The Density property of an object can be found near the top of the [[Overview Tab|Overview]] panel in the object's property panel. If the object has a [[Composition Tab|Composition]] tab, the Density will also be listed under the Cumulative Properties category in that tab. For a [[Galaxy Nebula]] object, the Density property is located near the top of the [[Nebula Tab|Nebula]] tab. The Density of an object is also displayed in its mini-info panel. ===Units=== Density can be viewed and edited using the following units: * Grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm3) = 1000 kg/m3 * Kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m3) is the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_System_of_Units SI] base unit for density * Hydrogen molecules per cubic centimeters (H2/cm3) = 1.67Γ10-24 kg/m3 ==Simulation Effect== ===Mass and Radius=== Objects in Universe Sandbox are simulated as spheres of uniform density, so the density of an object, Ο, is related to its [[radius]], ''R'', and [[mass]], M, by :<math>M = \frac{4}{3}\pi R^3 \rho.</math> [[Category:Physics]]
