The Composition tab in an object's properties panel displays properties related to the materials that make up the interior of the object.

Unlike other tabs in the properties panel, which display an image of the object at the top of the panel, the Composition tab displays a cutaway view of the object, showing the layers of simulated materials in the object's interior.
