Boiling Point

The Boiling Point of an object represents the temperature at which water (or CO2) will change from the liquid to gas state. Above this temperature, the material will exist as a gas, and below this temperature, it will exist as a liquid or solid. The material represented by this Boiling Point is determined by the Show Water or CO2 tab.

This property is read-only and is automatically calculated by Universe Sandbox based on the Surface Pressure of the object.

Location[edit | edit source]

The Boiling Point property is located in the Water/CO2 section of the Surface tab of the object's properties panel.

Units[edit | edit source]

Boiling Point can be viewed using the following units:

  • Kelvin (K) is the SI base unit for temperature
  • Degrees Fahrenheit (°F)
  • Degrees Celsius (°C)

Conversions between these three units are as follows:

°C = K - 273

°F = (9/5)°C + 32
