The Band Colors property of a Gas Giant determines the source of the object's colors. The property has two options: Default and Custom. When the Band Colors property is Custom, the color of each band can be set by the user.

The Bands property is located in the Layers section of the Visuals tab of the object's properties panel.

Default Color[ | ]
For gas giants in the Solar System, including Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, the Default colors are set by the Universe Sandbox database to match the known appearance of these planets. For other gas giants, the Default colors are randomly generated.
Custom Color[ | ]
The Custom colors of a gas giant determine the color of each horizontal band in the object's atmosphere. The number of color bands can also be increased or decreased with the + and - buttons, and the order of the bands can be swapped by dragging and dropping the colors.
